I dare you not to fall in love with Vermont
“Don’t fall in love!” I'd fallen in love with Vermont years ago while traveling around visiting independent bookstores, but I'd just convinced my family to join me on this little business adventure. We were going to buy a house in Vermont and rent it as a vacation rental.
“This is the first place we’re looking at. Don’t fall in love,” I repeated. But it was too late. From the moment we drove onto the Kingswood properties we were in love. All of the beautiful houses that managed to be both uniform and unique, the gorgeous layout and landscaping of the community that gave you a feeling of privacy in a mountain forest without a feeling of isolation. We did look at a lot of other houses before we bought The Lemondrop Lodge, but in our eyes none could compare. This house has made us very happy and it is our pleasure to share it with our guests.
Less than a mile from the base of Mt. Snow, miles of beautiful Green Mountain Forest trails await through trailhead a short walk away. Hiking, watersports, horseback riding, golf, antiquing, or just relaxing... the choice is yours. A delightful smorgasbord of shops and restaurants await only a few mins away. A romantic escape, a family adventure, a restful retreated the Lemondrop Lodge is for you. You'll have the Lemondrop Lodge townhouse all to yourself. In the evenings cook a scrumptious meal in the fully equipped kitchen and relax in the open floor plan. Or go outside and grill up something delicious on our private deck. Maybe you’ll want to stay cozy inside. You can relax by the three sided fireplace and enjoy the spacious feeling and vaulted ceiling in the living room or head upstairs for foosball, X box, or board games in the den. The Kingswood clubhouse, a short walk away, offers a fitness room and an Olympic sized, indoor, heated pool. With three levels there’s places for solitude or community, whatever your heart's desire. Three bedrooms, three full baths, a den, and living room make the Lemondrop Lodge the perfect place for a family retreat, a romantic getaway, or a snow filled adventure.
What People Are Saying about the Lemondrop Lodge
What a memorable family vacation! The house was amazing. We got in late at night with our two young kids and were so happy to find the house perfectly clean, lights on, heat on. What a relief after a long car ride. The house was so well appointed with amenities and also lots of kitchen gear. We love to cook and found everything we needed from griddle to grill to muffin tins. Paula was super responsive and helpful, suggesting a few hikes that were age appropriate for our little kids. Overall we had such a great time and are already looking forward to another visit!

Wonderful stay at the Lemondrop Lodge! Paula is an exceptional hostess! Every amenity you could think of has been included and there are so many thoughtful touches in every room of the lodge. Loved that it was pet friendly! The back deck is perfect for relaxing and has a nice view of the woods. The neighbors are very friendly and the neighborhood is quiet and a great place to walk. The lodge is super close to Mount Snow and we were able to do a scenic chair lift ride to the top of Mount Snow. Very close to so many cute towns as well. We definitely want to come back next year! — Kimberly
